Our candidates for Freeholder and Sheriff are experienced elected officials who bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to the table. They are experienced in government, business, legal, public safety, commerce and many more disciplines. Most importantly they understand how to listen to tax payers, understand their needs, and take action.
Jim Pearce is a lifelong resident of the Berlin area. He is a sitting Councilman of Berlin Borough, serving in his second year of a three-year term. Jim is very active on Council providing advise and insight on many business- and tax-related issues. He is the Director of Recreation and has created and implemented new revenue ideas to hold down property taxes and provide added value for residents.

Eugene Lawrence served three terms on Gloucester Twp. Council. He has also worked on Planning Board, Recreation Committee, Human Resource Commission, the Redevelopment Committee and Economic Development Corp.,B.S.A., as well as many community organizations.
Ian Gill as spent his entire professional and volunteering career in the service to Camden County. He was a Clementon Councilman for five years. He also served as Chairman of Public Safety, Public Works and Public Service. And he volunteered as a scout leader, fire safety educator and public safety leader. Ian is a Life Member of the Berlin IC Ambulance Association and has been an EMT for more than 30 years.
Chris Leone-Zwillzinger has devoted her life to public service.After college, she taught in the Women’s Correctional Facility in Caldwell while obtaining her Master’s Degree. She was the first woman to attend the Essex County Police Academy. Afterward, she worked undercover at the Essex County Bureau of Narcotics as a Sheriff’s Officer.
In 1983,Chris graduated from Seton Hall Law School; and in 1986, she became an Assistant Prosecutor in Camden County. Four years later, she prosecuted child abuse cases for the Attorney General until she retired to start her own law firm in 2006.
